Terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Zero Excuse app and the zeroexcuse.fr website, published by Elysio Manuel Martins (see the legal notice). By using the app, you accept them. Apple's standard license agreement also applies.

The service

Zero Excuse offers motivational lines, reminders, widgets and tracking tools (streak, daily commitments). The app works without an account: your settings and your lines stay on your phone.

Part of the app is free. Premium unlocks Brutal mode, every goal, themes, widgets and “My lines”, among others.

Premium subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, yearly (with a free trial) or weekly. The price is shown in the app before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the paid period.
Subscriptions are sold by Apple: refunds, including under withdrawal rights, are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your lines

The lines you write in “My lines” stay on your device and are your responsibility. We never receive them.

Content

The app's lines are original works. You may share the cards the app generates for personal use, for example on your social accounts. Any other reproduction or commercial use is prohibited without permission.

What the app is not

Zero Excuse is a motivation tool. It is not medical advice, psychological care or a personalized training program. If you are going through a hard time, talk to a health professional. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away.

Liability

The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but cannot guarantee it (iOS updates, notifications handled by your phone, etc.).

Changes

These terms may change as the app evolves. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you disagree with anything, write to us first: support@zeroexcuse.fr. Failing an amicable solution, the competent courts are those designated by ordinary law, without prejudice to the rights granted by your country of residence.
